In the previous articles we established how the executive decision-making ecosystem (1st and 2nd Tier decisions) flows through the SAMP and into subordinate Asset Management Plans (AMPs). The SAMP sets the reconciled strategy and commitments. The AMPs translate those commitments into executable programs. Now we turn to the point where strategy becomes action: MAG #6 – Execution of Asset Management Plans.
This article launches a three-part miniseries on MAG #6 within the broader Value Generation microburst. It places MAG #6 in its proper context inside the AM Framework and shows how execution aligns with the way most organizations structure their asset management work. The next two articles will then dive deeper into the mechanics of planning and program delivery, followed by the integration of risk and change management.
