This installment in the Foundational Thinking miniseries covers the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Predicting Outcomes of Investments in Maintenance and Repair of Federal Facilities that was released in 2012. This report takes a tactical deep dive into Facility Asset Management engineering and investment considerations. In its opening comments it underscores a familiar frame-of-reference as follows:
