Principles are like stars in a constellation, they guide you. Principles communicate basic beliefs that generate commitment and direction. Organizations without principles will have a difficult time fulfilling purpose. Organizations with principles are ready to take on the challenges ahead of them.
This AMP Newsletter begins a new miniseries on Principles for Asset Management System (AMS) Implementation. The source for the principles that will be covered is the US National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) report Strategies to Renew Federal Facilities. These principles were introduced in the Principles for Asset Management System Implementation article. The purpose of this miniseries is to advance understanding on how these principles are applied through an AMS and a supporting Asset Management (AM) Framework.
